"My family and I have stayed at the
Homestead several times; I, by myself for
various conferences as well as the whole
family for a vacation occupying both guest
houses. Coming with us were two dogs
and one bird, who had a place at the pet
friendly Garden House. Both stays were
wonderful and we look forward to coming
down again when we need a little peace
and quiet and beauty of nature.

The Homestead is part of the Cumberland
Plateau/Smoky Mountain region of
Tennessee and offers easy access to
wonderful hiking, river kayaking or city
touristing in any direction. We hit
Dollywood and Chattanooga as well as the
Opryland Mall in Nashville.

The staff at the Homestead is wonderful
and international. In fact most of the folks
working or living on the Homestead have
come from other parts of the world,
finding this area of the Southern United
States to be perfectly suited to a quieter,
slower way of life."

Testimonials
"I found my visit to the
Homestead to be an
exceptional experience. The
people were welcoming, the
facilities were clean and
bright, and the food was
prepared with that special
touch that makes everything
taste good.

The Homestead's rural
environment and natural
atmosphere was settling and
allowed me the time to get
back to a more natural pace. I
look forward to visiting again
in the future."

Phil, Westchester, NY

"The accommodations were quiet and comfortable, like staying at
home away from home. I found the setting to have a longed for
simple beauty. Yet within the rural environment we had access to
modern conveniences including wifi. The meeting facility, within
close walking distance of the guest houses, allowed for a very
productive gathering with an easy flow to our activities."
